Jay Draper & the Subterraneans is the studio project of front man and song writer Jay Draper, of The Scarlet Fever, featuring Justin Minister, of the now defunct Amy's Arms and touring bassist for Sex Gang Children. Together, with an array of guest musicians from Toronto's underground music elite, the group aims at crafting songs that ooze with a sense of noir-like unease and a desperate urgency, that mirrors the uncertan world we live in.
In 2017, with his band The Scarlet Fever on an indefinite hiatus, lead vocalist Jay Draper teamed up with multi-instrumentalist/producer Justin Minister to form the studio project, Jay Draper & the Subterraneans. Since then, they have released a duo of singles, and are currently toiling away, in the dungeon studios of the Toronto alternative scene, on their first full length album.

Super cool ESG-style herky-jerky post-punk with lots of groove, attitude, and glitched out electronics plus wiry guitars. Truly wild stuff! Bandcamp New & Notable Oct 27, 2023

Cliff and Ivy are fantastic Goth Duo with music and lyrics that seem to come right of our a beautiful deep dark fairy-tale. It's the perfect music to sooth the soul. mskatmonroe
